Bauer DW Classic Tumbadora drums are made from exotic, handpicked, kiln-dried, Brazilian rose cedar. In addition to its excellent sound qualities, this wood is simply beautiful. The drumheads are carefully selected and sterilized rawhide, as opposed to the cheaper, lower quality water buffalo heads often found on other manufacturer's products. The well-tested and rugged hardware is manufactured to Bauer's high standards in their own factory. This hardware was developed and exhaustively tested to withstand all kinds of tuning and abrupt climate changes. With 3/8" hooks and 9/16" nuts, it is built for functionality and longevity. Bauer DW Classic congas are the result of years of experience, constant improvements, and dedication to their products. An example of their attention to detail is the rubber protectors on the bottom of the shells that safeguard the drums from damage when they are placed on the floor. Additional protection is provided through the use of elegant rubber gaskets between the side plates and the shells, the new side plate finish protector, and the internal mounting system. All these innovations reflect their ongoing efforts to achieve the best sound, design, fabrication, and finish. This DW Classic Tumbadora (tumba) has a natural, glossy finish that lets the true beauty of the wood come through. To ensure excellent sound characteristics, the drum has a 45-degree bearing edge. All the design attributes contribute to produce a drum that has a dry and warm sound with no overtones. The addition of a comfort rim makes playing this drum much easier on the hands. This professional tumbadora is truly a world-class instrument. It is a feast for both the ears and the eyes. This is definitely a drum any serious drummer or percussionist would be proud to play and own. Bauer Percussion is located in Brazil. As an authorized dealer, we import their products directly from their factory. Tuning wrench is included.
